Reg’s Dlog (Well, what else would you call a dog’s blog?)

Firstly, if you are sharp-eyed, you might spot that the Old Girl has a new domain name. No? Well don’t worry. Until yesterday, I had no idea what a domain name was – and I’m still a bit vague about the details. Her site is now dawnknox.com, rather than dawnknox.wordpress.com. Was it worth the change? I don’t think so but what would I know? I suggested that since we share the site, she ought to use Reg.com but she said that particular domain name has already gone and that actually, we don’t “share” a site. I think there was mention of me hijacking her site. Cheek.

Well, anyway, I’ll let her use dawnknox.com so long as she allows me to post in my dlog, from time to time – and sometimes even more frequently than that. It really doesn’t matter to me. The Young ‘Un did all the hard work and transferred her site from the old domain name to the new one but some of the photos wouldn’t load, so we’re not sure whether photos will be missing from some of the earlier posts. I can’t think why anyone would be bothered about missing pictures (unless they are of me, of course) but if you can’t see any photos in previous posts and you’d like to, let me know and I’ll get the Old Girl to do something about it.

And still on the subject of photos, I thought I’d tell you about my photoshoot with Cinnamon Photography in Brentwood. You can see my portrait above. Peter Spicer, the photographer took quite a few photos of me in his studio and sometimes he allowed the others in too. The Old Boy wasn’t happy about having his photo taken but Peter made everyone laugh so much, it was quite a lot of fun. He also told us about his photobooths which sound like fun. Apparently, you can hire them for parties and celebrations. They’re like those photobooths that you find in stations but you get your own personal one for the evening. If you fancy one, check out Cinnamon Photography’s website, here. It’s almost worth organising a party, just to have a photobooth.

And while I think of it, there’s a crucial photo in the Old Girl’s ebook, ‘Daffodil and the Thin Place’, which Daffodil takes with her phone. I won’t tell you who she photographs or why the picture is so important because you’ve probably read the ebook and you will already know. No? What do you mean you haven’t read it yet? What are you waiting for? You can get your copy of ‘Daffodil and the Thin Place’ here on the Muse It Up Publishing website or from your favourite ebook retailer. All profits from the sale of the ebook will go towards the St. Nicholas Church, Laindon with Dunton renovation fund. ‘Daffodil and the Thin Place’ is set in the church and you can actually visit some of the places mentioned in the book, if you come to Laindon. Hopefully, the renovation fund will keep the building there for years to come.
