150320BlueTit18Many of the daffodils are dying now, up at St. Nicholas Church, Laindon with Dunton but there are still some spring flowers to be seen.

150409churchflowersspring1This daffodil is my favourite and is one of the last to bloom but it’s well worth waiting for.

150409churchflowersspring2The grape hyacinth are looking lovely and are carpeting the flower bed as are these purple flowers. I’m not sure what they are. 150409churchflowersspring3If you know, please drop me a line.

St. Nicholas Church, Laindon with Dunton, Essex was built in the thirteenth century, so it’s seen many generations of Laindon folk. People have gathered inside the building to pray and have positive thoughts for many centuries and so, it could be considered a ‘thin place’ – a place where this world and the eternal world are very close.

This church was the inspiration for my ebook ‘Daffodil and the Thin Place’ and all proceeds from the sale of this ebook will go towards the restoration of the ancient building. You can buy ‘Daffodil and the Thin Place’ here on the Muse It Up Publishing website or from your favourite ebook retailer.
