Reg’s Dlog (Well, what else would you call a dog’s blog?)
It’s been a rockin’ few weeks! The Old ‘Uns are obviously making up for lost time and are turning into Stone Age Rockers.
Two weeks ago, they took me to see Jeff Lynne’s ELO at the O2 in London, and last week, we risked life and limb in Blackpool, to see Status Quo.
When I said we risked life and limb, I wasn’t exaggerating. Just check out the following selfie. One minute I was posing on the sea front, the next, I was airborne. And don’t mention the hail! The stones were the size of peas but when you’re just a small chap like me, they looked like bowling balls.
The following photo of the Old Boy gives you an idea of the weather in Blackpool:
But, I digress. Back to the concerts. They were both fabulous. But then, you wouldn’t expect anything else from ELO and Status Quo, would you?
If I have one criticism, it concerns the audience’s behaviour. It’s all very well losing yourself in the beat, giving yourself up to the rhythm, and waving your hands in the air but please, have a thought for the small dog in the seat behind you. Staring at your wiggling backside all evening is rather tedious.
Anyway, with all the rockin’ that’s been going on, I haven’t had any time for writing, although I’ve had several ideas – one of which concerns a rather handsome pop star called Rog, who looks quite a lot like me. The Old Girl, on the other hand, has been scribbling away like a demented thing, and is just about to unleash her latest book on the unsuspecting public. More news on that later…
But in the meantime, why not try the Old Girl’s DAFFODIL AND THE THIN PLACE? You can get it as an ebook from the Muse it Up Publishing site here and it’s available from other ebook retailers. You can also get it in paperback format from Amazon, here.
